CSC 540 Spring 2010 Section 601 assignment acceptance policy
Thursday, January 21st, 2010Dear Section 601 students: The assignment-acceptance policy for your work in this course is as follows:
- Midterm-exam and final-exam papers: Must be submitted to the proctor on the actual exam day (tentatively October 19 for the midterm exam, and December 9 for the final exam). Please contact the DE office for all the exam-handling details.
- Homework assignments:
- For all “hardcopy” submissions: Please submit all your work to the DE office; please see here (and contact the DE office in case of questions) for all the details on the submission addresses. Your deadline is the end of day (11:59pm) for the submission date announced in the assignment. For instance, homework 1 papers are due in hardcopy (for Section 001 students) on August 31 (tentatively); this means that in order to not be considered late submissions, all homework 1 papers submitted by the Section 601 students must be received by the DE office before the end of day (11:59pm) August 31.
- All submissions via the submit board: Please submit all your work using the relevant submit board at the main course page (TBA). Your deadline is the same as that for Section 001, as announced in each assignment.
- All submissions for the course project report 3 (other than those via the submit board): Please submit all your work to the DE office; please see here (and contact the DE office in case of questions) for all the details on the submission addresses. Your deadline is 10am on Tuesday April 20. All project-report papers that are accepted by the DE office after 10am on Tuesday April 20 will be considered to be late submissions by the CSC 540 course staff.
- All submissions for the course project reports 1 and 2 (other than those via the submit board): Please submit all your work to the DE office; please see here (and contact the DE office in case of questions) for all the details on the submission addresses. Your deadline is the end of day (11:59pm) for the submission date announced in the assignment. For instance, project report 1 papers are due in hardcopy (for Section 001 students) on February 24; this means that in order to not be considered late submissions, all project report 1 papers submitted by the Section 601 students must be received by the DE office before the end of day (11:59pm) February 24.
- Quizzes and extra-credit work: Please submit all your work to the DE office; please see here (and contact the DE office in case of questions) for all the details on the submission addresses. Absolutely no quiz papers or extra-credit papers will be accepted after the end (11:59pm) of the 7th day after the lecture was initially recorded. For a hypothetical example, suppose that a quiz was given during lecture 1, which was recorded on Monday January 11; this means that all quiz papers for that quiz that were accepted by the DE office after the end of day (11:59pm) Monday January 18 will not be accepted for grading by the CSC 540 course staff. (Please rest assured that no quiz was actually given during lecture 1.)
