Keerthana Boloor’s last office hour this semester is to be held between 4pm and 6pm on Tuesday November 29, in EBII-3044.

Online class evaluations will be available for students to complete between 12pm on November 18 and 8am on December 7. Students will receive an email message directing them to a website where they can log in using their Unity ID and complete evaluations. All evaluations are confidential; instructors will never know how any one student responded to any question, and students will never know the ratings for any particular instructors.

Important: The entire class will earn extra credit as soon as the response rate reaches an adequate level (75% of the class).

Dear students, on December 9 we will have a final exam. For all Section 001 students, the exam will take place starting at 1pm in the usual classroom; the exam is three hours long. Section 601 students: Now will be a good time for you to start getting ready for the exam (you will need an exam proctor, as well as exam room and exam start time on December 9); please work on this with Ms. Sarah Boswell at the EOL office.

Important: The final-exam coverage is not restricted to the homeworks or project work in the course; rather, the exam coverage includes everything that we have discussed in the lectures between August 17 and November 30, with the exception of the lecture on the course project. (Note that the final exam is cumulative.) The exam is closed books and notes; calculators and computers are not allowed; you may use a single crib sheet that must be formatted as specified in the course syllabus (under “Exam Instructions”). An additional (second) crib sheet is allowed, provided that (i) this is the crib sheet that you were using for the midterm exam in the course, and that (ii) your midterm-exam crib sheet is also formatted as specified in the course syllabus (under “Exam Instructions”).

Dear students, to make it easier for you to streamline your work on homeworks 4 and 5 and on project deliverables part II, the course staff offers a deadline extension for your project work. Now you have until 11:59pm on Monday November 21 (instead of November 18) to submit your deliverables for part II of the project.
