The URL for the Gradiance online testing center for the homeworks; Gradiance help file; sign-up instructions. When signing up for Gradiance, could you use your NCSU unity ID as your Gradiance login name.

A clarification on Gradiance grading: In Gradiance homeworks, your grade is that for your most recent submission for each homework. The number of attempts is unlimited, but you do have to wait at least 15 minutes between successive attempts.

The token that you will need to add yourself to the class in Gradiance once you’ve registered using your Gradiance access code.

Important: When assigning the overall grade for the course, the course staff will not be able to take into account your Gradiance homework scores if you have not been able to provide a mapping from your Gradiance ID to your real name.

Warmup homework on Gradiance and on JDBC: assigned on January 20 and closed before 11:59pm on Tuesday January 31. Please note that these warmup homeworks are offered to help the students set up their Gradiance and Oracle account connections. The students who do not do the warmup homeworks on time (or at all) will not be penalized in any way but may have to spend on setting up these accounts some of the time allotted for homeworks 1 and 2.

Homework 1: assigned on January 24 and due in hardcopy in class before the lecture starts on Wednesday February 1. Solutions.

Homework 2: assigned on January 31 and due on Wednesday February 8: The JDBC part is due in hardcopy in class before the lecture starts; the other part is due in Gradiance before 11:59pm. Solutions.

Homework 3: assigned on February 7 and due before 11:59pm on Wednesday February 15. Solutions.

Homework 4: assigned on February 15 and due before 11:59pm on Sunday February 26. Solutions.

Homework 5: assigned on March 13 and due before 11:59pm on Wednesday March 21. Please note that the homework has two separate parts in Gradiance. Solutions.
